Quick start

  1. Drop the .stl file on the viewer, or press “Choose file”.
  2. Left-drag to orbit, right-drag to move and scroll to zoom. Touch screens: one finger orbits, two fingers zoom.
  3. Read the size, volume and weight panel, and grab a screenshot of the model if you want to share it.

About the STL format

An STL file stores a 3D shape as thousands of small triangles. It carries no colors or print settings, which is why every slicer, from Cura to Bambu Studio, can read it.

Avoid failed prints

Checking the true dimensions in millimeters before slicing tells you right away whether a helmet, bust or mini will fit your build plate or needs to be split or scaled.

Questions & answers

Do you keep a copy of my model?

Never. The file is opened by your own browser and is not sent to any server, which makes the tool safe for commissioned, paid or unreleased models.

Does it cost anything?

No. There is no account to create, no watermark and no limit on how many files you open.

Which formats does the viewer open?

STL in binary or ASCII form, along with OBJ, 3MF and PLY files.

My model is standing on its side. Why?

Printing files normally use Z as the vertical axis, while many 3D apps use Y. Switch the Up axis in the View panel to fix the orientation.

Can I save the model in another format?

Yes, open it in our free STL converter and export OBJ, 3MF, GLB or PLY.
